Wild Horse

Kathi and I made it to Pendleton, Oregon from Jerome, Idaho today -- about 320 miles. We are tired and will go to bed early. We stopped for diesel in Caldwell, Idaho, just west of Nampa. We had lunch at Denny's. Kathi had an avocado BLT and I had a double cheeseburger. I couldn't get my mouth around the cheeseburger, so I took off one patty for lunch. I brought the other patty home for dinner.

Beautiful drive today. It ranged from brown mountains, to rocks, to green fields and pine trees that reminded me of the Piney Woods in east Texas. Kathi took some through the windshield pictures. I will check them tomorrow and see if we have some adequate to post.

We are boondocking in the Wild Horse Casino parking lot. The casino is about four miles east of the Pendleton township on the Umatilla Indian Reservation.

We plan to boondock on the Columbia River tomorrow night. We like to stay at the Corps of Engineers Park, just west of the John Day Dam.
